Elad National Properties have finished plans on Mizner 200, which if approved, will replace the aging Mizner on the Green complex.

Elad’s CEO, Amnon Safran, said that the nine story luxury condominium, with units that average around 2,000 square feet, meets all the requirements laid out in Ordinance #4035, and will submit the finalized plans for the project in February for approval.

Prior to Mizner 200, Elad had submitted plans for New Mizner on the Green, which consisted of four towers which averaged around 300 feet, which violated Boca’s height restriction for buildings in the downtown area. The height restriction is currently at 100 feet, although the city council have allowed a few exemptions, such as the 140 feet tall Mark at CityScape.

Screen Shot 2016-02-01 at 1.36.09 PMWorld-renowned architect Daniel Libeskind, who designed One World Trade Center in Manhattan and the Jewish Museum in Berlin, Germany, had been hired by Elad to design the four towers for the New Mizner on the Green project.

However, Elad have revealed that Libeskind has not returned for Mizner 200, and that the project was designed by architectural firm Garcia Stromberg, who have previously designed multiple buildings in Boca, such as the Boca Beach Club and One Thousand Ocean.

Elad have stated that given Mizner 200’s pedestrian-friendly design and close proximity to downtown, residents will be encouraged to leave their vehicles in their parking spaces in favor of walking around town. They also said that the complex will feature “more than 40% green space,” and have a minimal impact on traffic in the area.
