Junior’s Opens First Location Outside Northeast In Boca Raton

By Casey Westfall

For over six decades, Junior’s cheesecake has been a beloved staple of Brooklyn, and now New Yorkers living in South Florida can rejoice, because Junior’s is opening up their first location in South Florida here in Boca Raton.

The owner of Junior’s, Alan Rosen, has confirmed that the company is leasing a space in Boca’s Mizner Park that was formerly occupied by Ruby Tuesday’s.

The restaurant will seat a total of 270 patrons, and will feature a full bar, retail bakery, and take-out services. The menu will feature close to 200 items, featuring what Rosen describes as “Brooklyn comfort food,” including corned beef, pastrami, sirloin steak, and of course, their iconic cheesecake.

This will be the first Junior’s location outside of the Northeast, but if things go well for Rosen, it definitely will not be the only one. The brand has already announced that they are interested in opening a Junior’s in Miami, but Rosen wants to focus on the Boca location before plans for a new restaurant are considered.

Junior’s is scheduled to open in Mizner Park September 2016.
