All About the Art, But in a Different Light

IMG_9009Boca Raton is known for its beautiful beaches, quiet living, and beautiful art boutiques.

With the center of all the art in downtown Boca Raton, with the Boca Raton Art Museum and various art boutiques in Mizner Park, it can be hard to compete. But travel 5 minutes west, and the term art boutique has a different concept.

Having had their start in Delray, formerly known as AR Gallery, Amy Reshefsky and Deborah Rader, had a vision. To bring original art in a more accessible way, and a more affordable price, not only to decorators and collectors but also to the general public.

With a change in location, now in the 11th Street industrial park, and a name change, It’s All About the Art had its Grand Opening on the week of Jan. 17.

There hangs a painting of the featured Artist of the Month. To the left there is a nice white table with chairs, which serves as a part of the studio’s new concept.

Due to the lack of wall space, they came up with the idea to have 3 ringed binders for each artist that they represent. In those binders, each divider is a specific type of art form; from canvas, to glass, brass and metal sculptures, clay sculptures, etc.

“This way you can sip on some coffee and pick out the pieces you would like,” said Amy, sitting at the white table painted by herself. “This way you don’t have to go all over the place looking for that certain piece,” Amy added.

IMG_9022It’s All About the Art, brings original pieces from local artists in all kinds of artistic mediums, up to 50 percent of the price of a regular hanging gallery. The art they offer ranges from the price point of $100 to $3,000.

Already representing a variety of artists, they are always willing to take in more.

Being artists themselves, behind the showroom is their studio, where they create their own art. “[With It’s All About the Art] we were able to create, business and studio wise,” said Deborah, about the dual function of their gallery.
