FAU Set to Host University of Miami Hurricanes in Front of Sellout Crowd

FAU Stadium opened its doors in 2011.

Since then, without a single sellout, the stadium has yet to witness its full potential, until now.

Tonight, the Owls will host the University of Miami Hurricanes in what has been announced a sellout crowd at FAU Stadium.

“The sellout is a true reflection of how our community has embraced our football program and Coach [Charlie] Partridge,” FAU Director of Athletics Pat Chun said.

Not even 50 miles separates Miami and FAU, so it’s likely there will be plenty of Miami fans in the crowd as well as Owl Nation.

With a capacity of 30,000, fans are encouraged to arrive early to the game as Fan Fest starts at 4:30 p.m. followed by pregame ceremonies at 7:30 p.m.

“The goal of our Athletics Department is to create a memorable experience for our team, students, campus and local community,” Chun said. “We are proud to showcase Florida Atlantic University on national television with a sold-out stadium.”

Kickoff is at 8 p.m. and the game will be televised on Fox Sports 1 and can be heard on ESPN West Palm 106.3 FM.
