    Robb & Stucky will be opening a $12 million new store at the former space of the Epicure Gourmet Market & Café at 2016 N. Federal Highway in Boca.

     Town Center in Boca Raton is redoing exterior signs, colorful landscaping and a glass covered entrance for vehicles to drive under and dropoff folks.

     Avid Technology plans to open an administrative office in Boca Raton and create 100 jobs over three years. The Burlington, Mass.-based company (NYSE: AVID) develops software and hardware to create media content for feature films, music, television, live concerts and news broadcasts. It posted $530 million in revenue in 2014. Now the company has committed to a $2.6 million capital investment in a facility in Boca Raton which has awarded $285,000 in economic development grants and a $140,000 local portion of $700,000 in tax funds awarded by the state, tied to job creation.

     The regional transit authority has agreed to pay for and conduct a ridership and traffic analysis that the city will use for a proposed Business Improvement District downtown. The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority approved funding the study for $65,000 to $85,000.

     The Canadian rock band Barenaked Ladies’ 2015 Last Summer on Earth Tour with Violent Femmes and Colin Hay, formerly of Men at Work and Ringo Starr’s band, comes to Sunset Cove Amphitheater in West Boca Friday night. For TV watchers, the Barenaked Ladies wrote and performs the theme for “The Big Bang Theory,” among its claims to fame. This is an AEG Live concert and the tickets are $50, with $10 for parking.      The Delray Beach Playhouse Children’s Theatre presents Shrek The Musical JR. beginning July 11.
