Men’s Soccer to Host Annual Summer Kids Camp

By Olivia Coiro

The Lynn University men’s soccer team will host its annual summer soccer kids camp from August 11-15, at the brand new Bobby Campbell Stadium on the campus of Lynn University. Registration is still open to join head coach John Rootes and staff for a week of soccer instruction on the beautiful, guard-gated Lynn University campus.

With two different sessions available, children ages 4-14 can improve ball handling skills and game tactics while making new friends. Lynn’s soccer camp is a fantastic opportunity to be coached by NCAA National Championship Tournament participants from both the men’s and women’s soccer teams. US Soccer A Licensed Coach John Rootes has trained his staff to teach and guide participants throughout the week.

By week’s conclusion, attendees will be better soccer players. At the end of each day, the kids will be both tired and happy. On top of playing soccer, campers will use the Lynn University pool for swimming activities as well as have breaks for snacks and lunch each day inside to cool off in Lynn’s air-conditioned facilities to escape the South Florida summer heat.

The full day session runs from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and is for boys and girls ages 6-14 and will cost $250 per person. A half session is also available from 9:00 a.m.-Noon for boys and girls ages 4-7 for $150 per person. There are still spots available so do not hesitate!
