One Thousand Ocean hosts YMCA’s VIP Sponsor Reception

Just days before the YMCA’s annual South Palm Beach County Prayer Breakfast at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, the non-profit community organization welcomed VIP sponsors, top-echelon board members and trustees to One Thousand Ocean for an elegant reception in a Signature Penthouse. Available for purchase, the $6.4 million residence – with its stunning ocean, Intracoastal/Lake Boca Raton views – provided the perfect backdrop for the evening.

Vocalist and pianist Orson Whitfield entertained guests who sipped libations served by Potions in Motion, while culinary temptations were offered by Petrossian Caviar, Ninja Spinning Sushi Bar, Dubliner, Rocksteady Jamaican Bistro, Carmen’s at The Bridge Hotel, The Seagate Hotel & Spa, and the Boca Raton Resort & Club.

“I knew Linda Spielmann from her work with other nonprofits, and when she approached One Thousand Ocean and told us she is chairing this year’s annual YMCA Prayer Breakfast, we gladly helped out by allowing one of our remaining new residences to be the setting for this sponsor reception,” said Jamie Telchin, president of development for LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels. An LXR affiliate developed the iconic condominium building, which is located on the tip of a private peninsula, surrounded by water on three sides, and adjacent to the Boca Raton Resort’s Boca Beach Club.  “The community has been good to us and we believe in giving back.”

During the evening, Spielmann thanked the Y’s many supporters and volunteers as well as Telchin for providing the beautiful reception venue. The local YMCA’s CEO Dick Pollock also spoke briefly.

The YMCA is the nation’s leading nonprofit for strengthening communities through programs and services that nurture and enrich the lives of today’s youth, while promoting healthy living and embedding the ideals of social responsibility.
