The consume of whey protein, a product derived from milk, estimulates protein synthesis an important tool for those looking for muscle hypertrophic, but more important yet for aging adults. The natural aging process  to a decrease in muscle mass known s sarcopenia, causing a decrease in quality of life and even premature death.

The way protein estimulates the synthesis of protein and helps to preserve the Muscular cells. A study done by Maastricht University in the Neterlands, found an increase in the synthesis of muscular protein in male adults that consumed 35 grams of whey protein when compared to a control group taking smaller doses. They concluded that daily consumption of at least 35 grams of Whey protein assists in the prevention of muscle mass loss caused by aging. Dont go hungry: longs periods of time without having any food or eating less than required (less than 1,500 calories for several months or years), may lead to your body to metabolize muscle tissue instead fat, because muscle tissue is the most availabe form of energy in the body after what you have ingested has been digested.

Eliminate trans fats from your diet: besides causing significant health issues, trans fats cause the accumulation of fat in the abdominal area. Avoid alcoholic beverages: the excessive consume of alcoholic beverages (one 6-8 ounces glass for women and two form men) daily.
