Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life

By: Gina Onori

You’re at an Italian restaurant with a glass of red wine and a hot date across the table. As you glance through the menu, your mind begins to wonder what it is your body desires. Finally, you decide risotto it is. As your stomach growls and your mouth begins to water the longer you wait, you can almost taste the risotto and feel it in your mouth. Finally it arrives. This is a moderate example of what Peter Baksa calls the Point of Power.

Peter Baksa spent the last decade studying the writings of the Tau Ching, the Koran, the Bible and other historic texts. Baksa also lived and studied with Tibetan Monks in China at The Lama Temple. The Point of Power intertwines a material of these theories into a plan that will alter your life indefinitely. The author offers a step by step process to obtaining access to the same forces that create worlds.

The first part of this practice is called intend. This would be to set an intention or thought into the universe in which you would like to attract into your life. In the Italian restaurant example this is the idea of placing the order. The second process is declare in which you state a plan and align your behaviors with that plan; this would be the ordering process of the example. However, note that you must align your behaviors with your plan.

“Let’s say financially you want to make more money,” said Baksa. “You begin to set the intention, yet when you go into work you put your employer down or client base down. These are not in correlation with your intention.”

The last step is detach, which is the most imperative. This is where faith comes to play. You must believe that the universe will handle the details for you. Many people in Western culture today do not execute this very well. We must believe deep down on a conscious and subconscious level that we will receive what we have asked for.

In Peter Baksa’s book The Point of Power he emphasizes the importance of how people can implement these steps into their lives to enhance their existence, change their thought patterns, and manifest their desires. The book also delves into science and quantum physics to explain how humans interact with the universe. It also elaborates on why manifestation through brainwaves may work for some people and why it may not for others.

“Whoever is out there, the Universe, God source, whatever you want to call it, is not listening to our words at all,” said Baksa. “How many languages are there? What it is listening to is your vibration. You can’t fool the Universe by using the right words, dressing the right way, or having a positive attitude. You cannot fool that which has created everything.”

From curing cancer, getting into shape, to fame and glory, these steps can change your life. Tiger Woods, Mohammed Ali, and Arnold Schwarzenegger utilized these techniques to achieve milestones in their lives. Why not take a few simple steps to accomplish some of your own?

*Peter Baksa will be having a book signing on August 22, at 4 p.m. at Barnes and Noble on Glades Road.
