Abrams calls attention to June 29 meeting on Medfly infestation
BOCA RATON – District 4 County Commissioner Steven Abrams has called attention to a special meeting to address concerns and fears about the recent infestation of Mediterranean fruit flies.
It will be held Tuesday, June 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Spanish River Library, 1501 NW Spanish River Blvd., Boca Raton.
“Due to recent Mediterranean fruit fly finds in Boca Raton, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Division of Plant Industry and the United States Department of Agriculture are holding a public availability session to provide the residents of Boca Raton and Delray Beach with the opportunity to talk one on one with entomologists and program officials about the Boca Raton Mediterranean Fruit Fly Response Program,” the commissioner said.
