Open Forums For Florida Primary Elections to be Held

The Florida Primary Elections are being held on August 26. Free candidate forums will be held during the month of July in preparation for the elections. The League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County is hosting three nonpartisan informational events to introduce the school board candidates.

District Six’s forum will be held Thursday, July 17 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Royal Palm Cultural Center in the lower auditorium. District Six is comprised of Wellington, Loxahatchee, Royal Palm, and the Glades area. The candidates include Marcie Andrews, Carla Donaldson, and Joseph Moore.

On Thursday, July 24 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., District Seven will host its forum at the Palm Beach County Government Center in the Jane M. Thompson Memorial Chambers on the sixth floor. District Seven is comprised of West Palm Beach; its candidates include Paiget Hendrix and Debra Robinson.

Districts Three and Four’s forum will be located at the West Boynton Library on Saturday, July 26 from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Districts three and four include Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, and Boca Raton. District three’s candidates are Karen Brill, John Michael Hartman, and David Benoit Mech. District four’s candidates are Justin Robert Katz, Thomas G. Sutterfield, Eric Zingone Whitfield, and Larry Rosensweig.

Another forum will be hosted on Tuesday, July 22 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Vista Center Complex for the Judicial Court candidates. Circuit group 14 and 30’s candidates will be present. Circuit group 14’s candidates include Diana Lewis and Jessica Ticktin; and circuit group 30’s candidates are Maxine Cheesman, Jaimie Goodman, and Peggy Rowe-Linn.
