“Jammin’ in June” Set For Sunday, June 29th at The Deerfield Beach Historical Society

Zella and Phil PatrioticThe Deerfield Beach Historical Society invites you to come “Jammin’ in June” on Sunday, June 29th, beginning at 2:00pm at the historic Butler House located at 380 East Hillsboro Blvd, Deerfield Beach. The event is part of the monthly “Sundays at the Butler House,” a series of events scheduled for the last Sunday of each month sponsored by Frank Congemi.

The event, which takes place in the Butler House backyard under the shade of the age-old Banyan Tree, is a little bit “picnic,” a little bit “patriotic,” and a little bit “party, with a concert featuring widely-renowned entertainers Zella and Phil of “It Takes Two.”   Other entertainment will be performances by the Starlite Express Twirlers. Several local artists and crafters will be on site, with a portion of their sales to benefit the Deerfield Beach Historical Society.   Picnic-type food will include hotdogs, lemonade, fresh Florida watermelon, and Good Humor Ice Cream.   There will also be a drawing for a picnic basket, donated by Aurora Nurses Home Health Care.

Bring along a blanket or chair.  Entrance to the event is free, with optional purchases for food, gifts, and other mementos.  There will also be tours of Butler House and crafts for the kiddies. Parking is available at the DFB Post Office, with limited parking adjacent to the Butler House.  The event is organized by the Deerfield Beach Historical Society and sponsored by City resident Frank Congemi.
