Boca Raton Production Studio Hits Big With a National Broadcasting Company

Rome360

3 Amici Studios (www.3amicistudios.com) will team up with a national broadcasting company to present, Rome 360º: The Churches, a tribute to the Eternal City. The episodic series is scheduled for release in 2014.

Tom Shaker, the Italian-American author-writer-host of the series stated, “I am proud that a major broadcast entity has signed on to help us share the facts, fantasy, faith and fun that is Rome. This is an edu-tainment program. A recognized and respected broadcast company is the perfect home for it.”

Rome 360º looks at Rome and her neighborhoods, using 1 of the 360 churches in the city center as a focal point for each episode.

The idea for a television series about Rome came to Shaker in 2000 when he moved to the Eternal City. The collision of culture, architecture, art, food and history presented a perfect opportunity for him to create a program befitting his edu-tainer style.

“People love to learn, but hate being taught. A vibrant and colorful show about Rome will hopefully open the eyes, and hearts of viewers while avoiding the sterile environs of the lecture hall,” Shaker continued.

The first episode for Rome 360º is The Pantheon. Shaker calls it “the grand-daddy of them all” and chose the temple-monument church for two reasons. Shaker commented, “The Pantheon is in the center of the Roman ‘Centro’. We can feature this magnificent structure, then spiral out in later episodes.  Also, it is a very well-known and popular site that boasts history as pagan temple, Christian Church and architectural marvel.”

The studio is currently seeking funding for Rome 360º through Kickstarter (http://kck.st/17x9Spv). The Boca Raton community is welcomed to join the team by becoming donors to the project. Rewards included are tickets to the premier, an exclusive screening of the pilot episode, a t-shirt and many other gifts based on the amount that’s donated.
