County Commissioner to host Job Expo on April 27

With thousands of job-seekers in South Florida looking for work, standing out in a pool of applicants and finding the right job can, sometimes, be a daunting task.

Enter District VII’s Job Expo. On Friday, April 27, County Commissioner Priscilla A. Taylor will host Job Expo 2012 from 8am – 2pm at the Airport Hilton, 150 Australian Ave., West Palm Beach

The Job Expo will connect young and older adults with representatives from local, regional and national businesses and institutions of higher learning looking to fill part-time, full-time and seasonal positions.

This is a win-win event for both job seekers and employers,” said Commissioner Taylor. “Job seekers will have the opportunity to learn about and apply for job opportunities while employers get a chance to meet our ambitious, hard-working regional workforce.”

Job-seekers are encouraged to wear professional dress – in order to make a good first-impression with potential employers – and have copies of their resume available.

Employers looking to meet many candidates face to face in a short amount of time should attend by contacting District VII staff @ wamiller@pbcgov.orgor 355.6637.
