Lions get pass opening troubles; rout Wellington out of wet Boca
By: Orlando Greenwald
Opening kickoff wasn’t what Coach Henghold had in mind. Wellington returned the kick back for an opening touchdown return and everyone in the stands just stood in awe. But to think that play hurt the lions is naïve, if anything it woke
them up. The lions came out on fire after the first play mishap. Running the ball with an authority and passion, they seemed almost unstoppable. Sophomore running back, David Tanis led the running attack with two touchdowns. Senior back and free safety Tavon Jenkins had another impressive game. The final was an easy 27 to 13 win for the mighty Lions. Olympic Heights have started their season just as they had in mind; dominating at home. More to come in the next few days.
